Haiti Leads Caribbean in Growth of Internet Users

A report released by Exito Exportador noted that Haiti led the Caribbean community in percentage of growth of internet users in the past 10 years.

In terms of total internet users Haiti ranks 5 in the Caribbean. Haitians living in Haiti added up to 85,480 Facebook users in August of 2010. These statistics were taken and are available for the 25 countries that make up the Caribbean.

The report also shows that Haiti's neighbor, the Dominican Republic, leads the Caribbean in total internet users.

In terms of the percentage of users compared to total respective population, Haiti ranked last at 10%. The nation is one of five to have 1 million internet users, and Haitians make up 10% of the total internet usage in the Caribbean. The statistics are show below.
