If they adopt the law in the same terms as the senators, the country will have a new electoral law since that of 2008 and be able to move forward with senatorial and local elections, overdue since November 2011. However, this will not mean a solution to the political crisis, the political opposition wants more than an electoral law.

Rocked by division, the National Coordinator of the party Maryse Narcisse was reduced to silence with the chanting of the names of Senator Jean-Charles Moise (North/Inite) and Deputy Arnel Belizaire (Delmas-Tabarre/ind.), outcasts of the party since December 2.

This enactment sets in motion all legal prerequisites for senatorial and local elections, overdue in Haiti since November 2011.
