Haiti: Interior Minister Meeting with Chinese Representative of Trade

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (defend.ht) - The Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Defense, Thierry Mayard Paul met with the Permanent Representative of Trade of the Embassy of China, Wang Shupang, DH has learned.

According to a communication sent from the ministry to DH, the Interior Minister accompanied by his Chief of Staff Mr. Max Buteau, met at the office of Shupang on Thursday, January 5, in the morning.

This meeting allowed Minister Mayard Paul to address some key points on decentralization. DH was not made privy to the details of the points but the Minister did express satisfaction with the meeting believing saying it coincided with the will of the government to strengthen local and international cooperation.

In the communication, the Interior Ministry said it is continuing to work to materialize the vision of the President of the Republic of creating sustainable development through local initiatives and decentralized cooperation.
